chiyagi
chiyagi[kiːjaɡi] is a label founded around uma, whose artistic practice is rooted in installation and image experiments, chiyagi creates garments born from the process of giving form to the intangible. The label explores abstract narratives—unseen fictions, monumental yet untouchable ornaments, and playful ideas destined to disappear—translating them into wearable forms through clothing.
chiyagi(키야기)는 2022년 설치와 영상 이미지 실험을 중심으로 활동해온 uma를 주축으로 설립된 레이블입니다. 보이지 않는 가짜의 이야기, 크고 만질 수 없는 장식, 또는 금방 사라질 장난 같은 추상의 이야기들을 만들고 구체화해나가는 과정 속에서 탄생하는 의복을 제작해나갑니다.
chiyagi humble is the label's second line, departing from a sense of longing for the soft, refined dayswear gathered in the drawers of a childhood dressing room. This motif is combined with chiyagi's distinctive formal language, presented through premium cotton jersey in a more approachable design.
chiyagi humble(키야기 험블)은 이들의 두 번째 라인으로, 어린 시절 부모님의 드레스룸 서랍장에 모여있던 부드럽고 정제된 데이웨어에 대한 동경이라는 감각을 주축으로 출발합니다. 이러한 모티프는 키야기 특유의 포멀한 언어와 결합되어, 프리미엄 코튼 저지를 통해 보다 친절한 디자인으로 소개됩니다.
